Environmental Consultant, Singapore

My client is a consultancy company that works throughout the world in the renewable energy sector. They are focused the managing, development and engineering area of renewable energy projects. They are widely respected internationally and require senior consultant to grow their market impact throughout Europe and Asia.

Core criteria: My client requires a renewable energy consultant based in Singapore with specialist skills in an EIA discipline

Key Responsibilities

• ·         You will gain skills on business development working closely with clients and investors gaining contacts and knowledge in this area
• ·         You will work on a variety of projects including sustainability, power stations, transportation and renewable energy projects

Carry out due diligence audits and present results to relevant managers within Asia

• ·         Assess and analyze the environmental surveys undertaken for each project and reporting to senior project managers
• ·         Undertake social impact assessments and work with communities to discuss these results
• ·         Work with clients and renewable energy project managers in order to get the best results in terms of the renewable energy project
• ·         Coordination of EIA (environmental impact assessment) functions

Education:

A degree and post graduate degree in environmental science

Key Skills

• ·         You will have 2 years experience working in the environmental energy sector
• ·         Experience working as a consultant on environmental and / or renewable energy projects
• ·         Excellent knowledge of requirements and regulations of the environmental projects
• ·         Working within a strict budget and important deadlines throughout the entire renewable energy project life cycle
• ·         Specialisation in a specific topic relating to EIA (environmental impact assessments) or SIA (social impact assessments)

Desirable Attributes

• ·         Excellent communication and report writing skills
• ·         Ability to travel
• ·         Experience working in Asia
• ·         A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company
• ·         Specialisation water quality, ecology, hydrology, land contamination, health and safety, noise or air quality is advantages
