As an integral member of the Global Development team you will be involved in the delivery of environmental services to our government and industrial Clients and, in particular, the international mining market.  Key responsibilities will be involvement in environmental and social impact assessments, audits and management assignments primarily for the mining sector.  There will also be potential to assist in other sectors, in particular the power sector.
 
Members of project teams will frequently be part of a multi-disciplined team supporting overall project evaluation and development consultancy services. You will be involved in providing professional opinions on mining client properties and development projects including, as required: assessments of environmental impacts, permitting and regulatory compliance of proposed and/or existing mining operations, deliver full spectrum EIA's on development projects, manage permitting and regulatory application processes, project closure planning and cost estimation.
 
You will work on projects around the world and will have the opportunity to be involved in the assessment of projects in a wide range of international jurisdictions ranging from developed to undeveloped countries.   You should therefore be able to work independently as well as part of the team and be able to work overseas on short assignments.  You will also help in directing less experienced environmental consultants within the team to fulfil their potential and develop their career.
 
As part of a growing team the role will also involve development of the business internationally.

About You
Experience in environmental management for mining projects ideally including: environmental impact assessment, environmental auditing, environmental management plans/systems design, project closure and reclamation, mine project permitting, mine site closure techniques and technologies. Some experience of social impact assessment also preferable.

 
You should have experience in mine project assessment and evaluation against international standards, including, ideally, the IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles and/or World Bank. 
 
You will have good communication skills both verbal and written, including preparation of technical reports. You will also have business development capability with a client oriented approach.
 
You will be required to travel nationally and internationally but will be UK based.
