We are looking for a proactive business advisor to develop our practical business support and networking programme 

Role Title:

Environmental Business Advisor
Reporting to: Business Manager
Role Purpose:To manage a portfolio of clients and projects in order to achieve the environmental objectives of tEC in the most sustainable manner.
Hours:37.5 hours
Salary:£16,000 - £22,000 pa (dependent on experience and subject to deductions for tax and National Insurance).
  

Responsibilities

Project management and delivery
  • Manage the tEC Environmental Management System (ISO 14001);
  • Undertake resource efficiency, energy and waste audits as instructed by project management. This includes site-visiting, data analysis, reporting and monitoring as required;
  • Support customers in implementing environmental management systems (e.g. EMS, ISO 14001…);
  • Follow up any changes in environmental matters (e.g. legislation) that may interest customers, and help prepare guidance and pragmatic business solutions;
  • Respond promptly to requests from individuals, businesses and associations;
  • Bring support to initiate and plan projects to ensure effective delivery;
  • Participate in the sourcing and development of funding opportunities, and manage the subsequent report writing.
 Partnership building and business development
  • Promote, build and maintain effective working relationships with external resources and partners;
  • Work with the multi-disciplinary and cross-sector external team of expertise to help deliver joint objectives;
  • Actively be aware of development opportunities and external issues and that may be related to the Business section and tEC;
  • Take part in the development of innovative ideas to develop new solutions and services.
 Communication and reporting
  • Report progress to management, board and external stakeholders;
  • Prepare and undertake presentations to promote tEC services and partnership building.
