Description

The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is committed to delivering a programme of first class science with the minimum of environmental impact. Protecting the environment is a strategic priority for BAS and we aim to achieve the highest possible standards for our own environmental performance.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Environmental Assistant to join our Environment Office team on a part-time basis working 18.5 hours per week. You will be from an environmental science background with some knowledge and experience of environmental management.

With a good eye for detail, you will be working alongside the Environmental Managers and will manage the procurement of environmental equipment for our Antarctic research stations, conduct environmental audits, present environmental data, assist with EIAs and produce high-quality training materials that influence best environmental practice.

Qualifications: A degree in an environmental sciences subject or equivalent experience

Duration: Fixed-Term Appointment (3 years)

Salary: In the range of £22,224 to £24,112 per annum
