Environmental Analyst
Long Island City, NY

The Environmental Analyst will support all Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (CEHA) program tasks and engineering tasks for the Engineer in the Flood Protection Program. Will conduct technical reviews and field inspections, review permit applications, and provide oversight for municipal programs that are administered by the state. Incumbent will assist the Bureau of Flood Protection and Dam Safety regarding Coastal Erosion Projects. Will perform duties associated with the Flood Plain Management program to provide oversight and assistance to communities and state agencies in implementing the program.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental studies, or related field. Incumbent will have technical or professional experience in the field of engineering, environmental science, or environmental studies. Ability to organize workload, and perform tasks in an accurate, conclusive and timely manner is required.
