The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is seeking an Environmental Analyst (EA).  The  EA will assist the Director of Water Quality with various program issues and grants.  Will serve as Program Manager for the Commission’s Wetlands and Water Quality Monitoring programs, facilitating workgroup meetings of appropriate state and federal staff and coordinating policy and technical initiatives  Will manage a variety of projects to include wetlands, hydric soils, biological assessment, monitoring and water quality training efforts.  EA will assist Division Director in developing annual plans and budgets.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in environmental studies, public policy, natural science, earth science, biology or chemistry.  Three to five years professional experience in related field required.  Ability to work effectively with scientists, engineers and the public.  Facilitation, coordination and policy interpretation skills a must. Excellent communication and organizational skills required.  Familiarity with quality assurance procedures relating to water quality sampling.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.  Knowledge of aspects of water quality and watershed management required.
