My client, a successful mining group listed on the JSE is currently seeking an Environmental Accounting Manager to work in their Pretoria Head Office. JOB KEY PERFORMANCE AREASThe incumbent will be responsible for the following: • Establishing, assessing, revising, implementing and maintaining site specific as well as corporate environmental management accounting models, programmes and networks.• Identifying, auditing, reviewing, analysing and quantifying environmental management accounting physical and monetary data (especially related to mine closure risks).• Ensuring subsequent e-liability outcomes are integrated into all phases of operational and strategic planning.• Preparing, submitting and presenting informal information and formal periodic reports• Executing the tasks of the authorised mining engineer appointed in terms of the Rehabilitation Fund• Assisting SHE with financial performance management. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS• 6-8 years experience in the field of mining, mining management, rehabilitation, environmental management (including ERA end audit) and environmental management accounting. Industrial experience, project planning and management experience. Trust Fund management exposure and liaison experience with authorities will be an advantage. • Personal attributes required: Customer care, teamwork and confidence building; interpersonal skills, managerial competencies, learning and development ability, business & financial acumen, leadership skills advanced communication skills, results driven, decision making; highly structured and analytical. QUALIFICATIONS BSc Eng (Mining or equivalent) or BCom Honours (Business Accounting / Financial Accounting) Appropriate Environmental Management Training Being registered with a professional body be an added advantage |
