The team

As Area Environment Manager, you will lead a department responsible for front line delivery. The department will comprise a variety of teams including Environment Management, Industrial Regulations, Environmental Monitoring and Analysis and Reporting. You’ll also have a lead role on developing and maintaining relationships with customers and partners across the area and nationally within the organisation.


Experience/skills required

You’ll report directly to the Area Manager and have responsibility for the department's budget and take ownership for delivering value and efficiency in financial performance. The role requires you to be a decisive leader with excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills. We expect an appropriate level of experience and commensurate knowledge of managing health, safety and wellbeing in a high risk environment.

You’ll also hold a lead incident management role and as such previous experience would be beneficial.

Please note that you will need your line manager’s permission to apply for this one year assignment.
A full driving licence is essential as local and national travel will be required.

This role requires participation in a 24hour incident response roster.
