Description

The role

We’re looking for an individual to provide technical support and administrative assistance to the West Area operational management team based in Tewkesbury. The successful candidate will provide technical support and will need to be highly competent in computer based systems (word, excel, access, PowerPoint etc), procurement and records management.

The team

The post holder will report directly to an Environment Manager and provide management support and resilience with cover for other Environment Assistants in the Area. The role will include handling complex and confidential data, keeping safety records, organising diaries, travel, accommodation, meetings, training and duty rostas. They must be able to work to prioritise work and ensure deadlines are met for responses to enquiries.

Experience/skills required

The following is necessary: 

• being highly organised with a professional attitude;

• employing accuracy in all that you do.

You'll have practical experience in the following:

• managing and prioritising your own workload;

• handling complex and confidential data;

• collation, analysis and reporting of data and information;

• working in a customer focused, service delivery role;

• working in an administration role including arranging travel, booking hotels and conferencing facilities etc;

• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.

Other key requirements include: 

• excellent communication skills;

• working in teams;

• a strong customer focus;

• an ability to work to tight timescales;

• the capacity to adapt to changing demands and workloads.
