To sustain growth and deliver our objectives of a successful and expanding portfolio, we require additional support in our Recruitment & Assessment Team. The Environment & Sustainability Assessor is a new post and key appointment to drive recruitment of member businesses, cultivate positive relationships with our clients and provide relevant and empowering advice and support. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an aptitude or experience in undertaking environmental audits and a keen desire to learn. The Role

The Environment & Sustainability Assessor will include a combination of technical audits, office-based support, advice and account management and once training is successfully completed, site visits to businesses across the UK & Ireland and at times with overseas partners.  Using our on-line platform GreenCheck and other tools you will provide advice to hospitality and other businesses on aspects relating to our Green Tourism certification programme and other services. 

Responsibilities

-          Responsible for follow up calls to prospective and current customers technical enquiries

-          Upselling the benefits of membership and maximizing sales

-          Provide phone and email support to all customers ensuring maximum retention rates

-          Carry out engaging and informative GreenCheck assessments and investigations

-          Manage time effectively to ensure maximum benefit to the membership

-          Create informative and well-presented written reports for businesses

-          Provide exceptional customer service to all current and potential clients

-          Work within the technical team, to help criteria development as well as the development of members’ technical information (i.e. case studies, factsheets, E-newsletter articles, Blog/Vlog pieces etc.)

-          After successful completion of training plan, arrange and carry out site visits.  Visits may require for you to be away from home for up to a few weeks.

-          Contribute to the ongoing development of the Green Tourism program and membership benefits

-          Undertake development projects as directed by the Management Team

The Ideal Candidate will have:

-          Excellent communication skills

-          Proven track record or skills in undertaking environmental audits (waste minimization, energy audits etc.)

-          Confident telephone manner with ability to build trust and credibility

-          Ability to explain technical issues in a simple and easy to understand language

-          Interest and knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues

-          A keen desire to learn and to help businesses make a difference

-          Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets

-          Experience of phone-based sales or customer engagement

-          Committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences

-          Brings positive energy to those around them and is able to convey this over the phone

-          A team player who will is committed to building positive relationships with colleagues

-          Committed to ongoing personal development

-          Experience of report writing

-          Proactive and willing to take the initiative
