Description

The role

We are looking for three people to join the Environment and Business Directorate.

You'll be part of a small pool of administrators in the Portfolio and Resources Team. Your role will be to provide a high quality support service to facilitate the efficient and effective running of the Directorate.

The team

We steer the direction, set the priorities and shape our organisation's approach to delivering environmental outcomes and better regulation.

We enable the Environment Agency to have the right approach, the right relationships and the right resources to create a better place for people and wildlife.

We work closely with Government, delivery partners and customers to achieve our targets and demonstrate value for money. As an approachable and confident individual you'll thrive in this busy and demanding administrator role.

 
You'll have the opportunity to work professionally with stakeholders at all levels. You'll be customer-focussed, with excellent communication skills and capable of effective diary, inbox and meeting management.

Experience/skills required

It is essential that you're competent using Microsoft Office software, appreciate the importance of confidentiality and can manage and prioritise a varied workload and remain calm if priorities change at short notice.

Suitable candidates may be experienced administrators, used to working with senior management or alternatively someone keen to embrace new challenges and develop their skills sets.

Being open to change and new ways of working are important as well as the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
