We are looking to recruit a new Business Group Director for the Environment division at our Peterborough office. The Environment team in Peterborough brings together a wide range of knowledge and capacity in order to provide solutions to the variety of issues related to the environment. Our expertise covers a wide range of environmental areas including soil, water, air, wastes and noise and our consultants have an in-depth knowledge of environmental technology, legislation, regulations, management systems and communications. The role involves leading and directing a Business Group, including: Strategic Business Planning and Development for the Business Group (BG) within overall Group and Divisional Strategic Directions Reviewing and Agreeing Annual Business Plans for Advice Groups (AGs) & Market Sectors Setting and Managing Annual Financial Budget for the BG Reviewing, Agreeing and Monitoring Annual Financial Budgets for AGs Reviewing, Agreeing and Monitoring Balanced Business Improvement Cards (BBIC) for each of the Advice Groups and Market Sectors Ongoing Direction and Co-Ordination of AGs Activities Ongoing co-ordination of BG Activities with other Business Groups Supporting Directors of Advice Groups in performing their roles effectively as required – to include the following areas: staff recruitment and management, marketing and business development, project procurement and execution. Supporting Market Managers in performing their roles effectively as required – to include the following areas: marketing and business development and project procurement. Undertaking Formal Quarterly Project Reviews Reviewing and Approving Proposals and liaison with Divisional Director where required Proactively supporting the success and development of the Division (including attendance at Divisional Meetings) Proactively supporting the success and development of the UK Business (including attendance at UK Steering Group Meetings) in particular stimulating the development of cross divisional activity. Proactively supporting the success and development of the Royal Haskoning Group

Qualifications and Experience: Degree level education. Preference for a background in environmental sciences. Previous experience of managing multi disciplinary project teams with minimum 10 staff Recent experience of managing part of a business with line responsibility for P&L and for commercial and contractual matters He/she should be an entrepreneur with clear market drive and should have a focus on clients and client network.
