Entry-level Environmental Scientist (Full-time or Intern)

Our Environmental Risk & Toxicology group is seeking a full-time research assistant or undergraduate intern who has a degree in environmental science, toxicology, chemistry, or a related discipline to support a major project in our Fairfax office. 

The person will primarily perform the following responsibilities in support of risk assessment in chemical substances:

• Data evaluation
• Extraction
• Summarization
• Formatting
• Quality assurance

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, toxicology, or general science (including chemistry and biology). 
• Must be proficient in the use of Excel and other quantitative computer software. 
• Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills. 
• Prior experience in consulting, private industry, government/regulatory agencies, or other related jobs is preferred but not required.

The job does not involve hands-on laboratory or field work.
