Engineering Intern

Ecology and Environment, Inc. (E & E), an international environmental consulting company ranked in the top 75 of ENR’s “Top Environmental Firms,” is committed to supporting sustainable development through responsible environmental stewardship.  E & E provides diverse services worldwide on a broad array of environmental projects that require dynamic engineering and communication skills.  We are seeking an engineering summer intern for our corporate office in Lancaster, NY.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform design calculations and cost estimates
• Assist in design plans and specifications
• Work effectively within a team of engineers, scientists and planning professionals on a wide variety of environmental projects including restoration, remediation, and environmental permitting

Requirements:

• Junior year bachelor’s candidate in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Availability to work 40 hours a week from late May – August at our corporate headquarters in Lancaster, NY
• Relevant course work in environmental remediation, water/wastewater treatment or habitat restoration
• Relevant internship experience preferred
• Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
