New opportunity for an Engineering Assistant to join Ameresco’s Southeast Region Team based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, and construction activities
Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency
Visit project sites to assess and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems
Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures
Provide assistance with engineering assessment including baseline profiles, end-use and retro-fit analysis
Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases
Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
Junior/Senior level student pursuing Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline, with a focus on Energy Efficiency and/or Renewable Technology preferred.
Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Excellent verbal, written, computer communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Ability to pass DOE security investigation and DOT substance testing requirements.
