Engineer - Product Environmental

We currently have fantastic opportunity for an Engineer - Product Environment to join BAE Systems Submarine Solutions in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. The successful candidate will be required to exercise professional engineering judgement, initiative and skill in discharging allocated tasks in a positive manner within required constraints.
As an Engineer - Product Environment your main responsibilities will involve:
Carry out tasks and activities to meet the Successor design programme as assigned by the Product Environmental Team Leader or Principal Product Environmental Engineer
Review design documents
Review and keep abreast of the environmental legislative arena
Participate in environmental activities e.g. DfE (Design for the Environment) awareness training
Some admin duties
Supporting all team members in Environmental activities
As an Engineer - Product Environment your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Degree educated - Environmental/Engineering
Experience of working within an environmental role or similar
Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and environmental protection
Experience of looking at pollution and product generates
The ability to liaise directly with design engineers
Excellent report writing skills

£25,430+
