The Project Coordinator at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) will coordinate the day-to-day integration of program activities for the Commonwealth Wind program, including offshore wind,within the Renewable Energy Generation division.  The Project Coordinator will report to a Program Director, and will be a key player in designing and implementing program solicitations, developing program communications, reviewing grant applications, managing awards, and evaluating results for programs that support wind energy. 
 
Job Duties
  • As part of a team, provide comprehensive support to coordinate the day-to-day integration of program activities of the land-based and offshore wind program within the Renewable Energy Generation Division.      
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day interface for MassCEC’s wind program, including the following:
    • Provide customers with timely responses to inquiries from project proponents and applicants, potential applicants, analysts, awardees and any others interested in the program details;
    • Coordinate the application review, award and contracting processes;
    • Coordinate ongoing award management including review of reports and other deliverables, and processing of payments;
    • Review, adjust and enhance program administration work flow and tools in response to changes in program offerings;
    • Coordinate RFP processes through which MassCEC hires consulting service providers.
    • Represent the wind program to outside stakeholders via public speaking events upon request.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day interface for MassCEC’s renewable energy certificate (REC) purchase awards.
  • Support the development of communication tools for MassCEC’s wind program, including descriptions of program offerings and strategies, and replicable reports on program metrics.
  • Maintain detailed databases and supporting files on all aspects of the MassCEC’s wind program.  Archive and maintain key business documents, track and summarize major activities and developments. 
  • Operate and maintain wind and REC program records in MassCEC’s customer relationship management system (CRM).
  • Delegate tasks to and supervise the work of temporary staff and/or interns. 
  • Work collaboratively with Legal, Finance, and Project Administration staff in order to properly process paper work and resolve issues related to program activities.
  • As determined by senior management of the division, assist from time to time with reporting and other general responsibilities and assignments within the division.
  • Perform additional tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Director of the Renewable Energy Generation Division or his/her designee.
 
Position Qualifications
 
Education
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience
  • Experience with renewable energy a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office software and database management.
