BirdLife is looking for someone who ‘gets’ birds and birders and has the skills and imagination to make fresh connections and grow established ones.

This is an exciting new position for a dynamic birder with a great understanding of the birding community, a track record in data collection and management, a competent grasp on digital technology, a drive for bird conservation and a natural gift to connect with people.

This role ensures that the valuable data BirdLife citizen scientists, partners in government, NGO, science and the Indigenous community collect can shine for conservation.

YOU WILL DO THIS BY:

  • Working with the Citizen Science Program Leader, ICT and Digital Transformation Lead and technology review team, to develop and implement a Science and Conservation technology roadmap to enable the Bird Conservation Strategy
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of birdata
  • Contributing to building the BirdLife Citizen Science community
  • Managing a small team and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
