The role of Engagement Director at The Environment Council is a great opportunity, as it is working in a totally unique charity, on diverse, exciting and often highly innovative sustainability issues. If you have a deep understanding of the principles, theory and practice of engagement (and love it) this is the job that gives you the opportunity to champion and work at the forefront of engagement practice in the UK. The job’s core purpose is to lead on the development and delivery of strategic engagement, positioning The Environment Council as the known charity to engage people in developing well informed, shared and therefore sustainable outcomes. Leadership on The Environment Council’s projects requiring the design, planning, delivery and evaluation of engagement processes will require someone who understands engagement genuinely and intrinsically, is flexible, creative and highly effective. You will need to work closely with an incredible staff- dedicated, work with integrity and humour and who have much to contribute to your direction.
