Energy Trading Support Analyst - Wellington

Our Wholesale Markets Team is a data and information intensive team that requires 24 x 7 data and information systems to enable trading of electricity and ancillary services.  The Generation Control function relies on the Generation Control System as well as other critical systems to undertake generation control and dispatch.   These systems directly affect our achievement of Net Energy Revenue, compliance with Law and Resource Consents and also plant and personal safety. 

You will be one of two subject matter experts who interface with the ICT business unit, to ensure business needs are reflected in operations and maintenance requirements, as well as minor and major change projects.  To do this you will need to understand the New Zealand Electricity Market and the trading environment, performing market analysis as required, combining knowledge of the system and business data to achieve innovative and value adding information provision. Your success will rely on your exceptional customer relationship management and delivery skills.

This is a high paced working environment which requires the ability to think on your feet and multi-task………….and have a bit of fun as well.
