My client is a leading wind energy developer, providing clean energy to utilities and large energy users. They build, develop, finance and operate large scale power plants and have a strong market presence across Europe.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing office activities, analysis and product valuation of the energy management department and contract negotiations within the European market.
Responsibilities:-
- · Support contract negotiations to secure €700 million for the pipeline in Poland, Italy, Romania, Belgium and the UK.
- · Leading research -Cost/benefit, financial, credit analysis
- · Keeping up to date with regulatory changes affecting renewables
- · Conducting bid processes
- · Prepare responses to RFPs
- · Build and maintain customer database and contact tracking system
- · Develop and maintain key relationships with utilities and power purchasers
- · Analyze the impact of current and potential national RPS market rules on near-term projects
- · Examine market trends and identify new customers and customer needs
- · Analyze Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) opportunities for near-term projects
- · Lead / participate in PPA negotiations
- · Undertake Power market research for strategic planning
Education:-
Undergraduate and masters degree required; prefer disciplines - engineering, business, physic or maths .
Core Requirements:-
- · In depth knowledge of electricity/energy markets, renewable regulations, transmission grid, finance.
- · Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.
- · Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- · Proficient user of Microsoft applications.
- · Programming knowledge of VB, Matlab or others
