Energy Marketing Associate - Chicago, IL

Invenergy LLC, a developer, owner and operator of power generation and energy delivery assets, headquartered in Downtown Chicago, seeks an energetic individual for Energy Marketing Associate. The main responsibilities for this position are to support to the Energy Marketing team. The incumbent will work across the entire organization to ensure that we maximize energy marketing efforts.

 

Responsibilities will include the following:

 

·         Proposal Management & Development - Coordinate project proposals and presentations. Specific assignments include:

1.    Prepare proposals in response to requests for proposals.

2.    Review, track and analyze potential client requests for proposals.

3.    Coordinate internal company resources in order to prepare for proposals, specifically proposal completion plan to include proposal milestones.

4.    Participate in project team meetings that may also include clients.

 

·       Energy Marketing Support - Support the company’s marketing efforts to utility customers. Specific assignments include:

1.    Create and maintain company marketing materials used by marketing/business development.

2.    Provide desk-based research and analysis on utility customers.

3.    Track energy markets and competitive information via industry news and other sources.

4.    Develop an understanding of the markets and develop positions on key topics

 

Qualifications:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering is preferred.

·       3 - 5 years experience in alternative energy is preferred.

·       Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·       Excellent project management skills.

·       Strong interpersonal skills.

·       Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to details.
