Description
Do you want the opportunity to earn commission in a sales
internship role in the fast-growing energy and environment sector? Are you an
ambitious individual who wants to enhance your commercial skills? The Business
Development Executive internship at Verdantix is a unique opportunity for you
to join a fun, fast-paced and talented sales team located in London and New
York. You will be responsible for persuading managers in the US and Canada who
are responsible for environment, industrial safety, operations, risk and
sustainability to attend the Verdantix Summit in Boston. Successful candidates
will get the opportunity to apply for full time roles in the Verdantix new
business and event sales teams in London and New York.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include the
following:
Calling managers from multi-billion revenue
firms, US federal agencies and large municipalities.
Learning how to articulate the value of
attending the Verdantix Summit through training by the sales manager and event
organizer.
Persuading managers to attend the Verdantix
EH&S Technologies Summit in Boston on June 25, 2014.
Managing the end-to-end sales process from email
to call to Summit ticket purchase.
Identifying additional research requirements of
the EH&S managers you call based on your discussions and handing
opportunities over to colleagues.
Contributing to other Verdantix sales and
marketing projects.
Requirements
This is a role that offers significant financial benefits via
ticket-based commission payments for an individual who can successfully
persuade EH&S managers to attend the Verdantix EH&S Technologies Summit.
Successful candidates will possess:
Completed or currently pursuing an undergraduate
degree.
Fluent English communication skills.
Self-confident and good phone manner.
Motivated by hitting targets.
Knowledge of business issues relating to
environment, industrial safety and sustainability.
Superior time management and organizational
skills.
High ethical standards practiced externally and
internally.
