One of the many divisions within this large and diverse organisation that employs around 70,000 people worldwide is focussed on Sustainability.  Their service offering is broadly founded around Energy, Climate Change, Waste, and Environmental Management to both internal and external clients.

This is a relatively new area of the business but is growing rapidly and has plans and backing to continue this growth for the foreseeable future.  Due to an ever increasing workload the Energy section are keen to recruit one or potentially two Energy Managers to help deliver some of the projects.

The projects are typically wide and varied but loosely involve you helping the divisional head to deliver practical solution to energy issues within a client base that involves Hospitals, Prisons, Defence Sites and many more.  This is not a consultancy role, you would be expected to be very hands on with the clients, not only advising on energy saving matters but also showing them what to do.  This is truly an Operating and Maintenance company functioning as an ESCO.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a proven engineer with Energy experience, perhaps from a Marine background or from working with Hospitals
  • Be happy switching from a hands on engineer to a project manager as the client requires
  • Have demonstrable experience of saving energy for clients within past employment
  • Show the proven ability to operate and maintain energy related machinery such as CHP units and Boiler Plants

The successful candidate will join a small yet rapidly expanding team and have the ability to help shape and grow this area of the business.  You will work for a company widely recognised as one of the leaders in their field who return hard working staff with a highly competitive remuneration packages.
