We are searching for innovative people to join our team, and have the following opportunity for anEnergy Engineer/Manager Navy Region Europe – Southwest Asia as well as two lead REM’s for the Navy installations at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily and Naval Station Rota, Spain. The selected candidate will work onsite at the customer’s facility to provide comprehensive energy management services. Primary duties will focus on energy management, including program management services, but work will also include developing facilities energy efficiency improvements, developing distributed generation opportunities, developing renewable energy projects, providing energy training, performing design reviews, analyzing energy and utilities data, recommending improvements to utility procurement and operations, and related duties. The candidate will identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, save money, and help the environment. The candidate will augment existing customer capabilities, work with both the customer and Tetra Tech in a team framework, and be an on-site action agent to facilitate energy and cost savings. 4-10 plus years of experience in energy management/engineering; strong HVAC background; experience with auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, commissioning, and building/system optimization is required. The candidate must either be an experienced energy manager/engineer or possess expert knowledge of Naval installations. Previous experience working at Federal / DOD facilities, particularly at Naval installations, is a plus. A candidate with a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is preferred. The principal Navy Region Europe – Southwest Asia REM candidate should be a very experienced energy manager with expertise in managing Region-wide energy programs. Knowledge of Southern Europe and with the Italian language is preferred. The lead REM’s for the NAS at Sigonella, Sicily and Naval Station Rota, Spain should be candidates possessing Navy energy experience and the ability to run a base-level energy program. The selected candidate should be familiar with the local language and culture. Also requires knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies and metering; excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; working knowledge of personal computers and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. The candidate must have the ability to write reports and technical products and be fluent in excel. BS degree in engineering or energy-related field is a plus but military or civilian experience working at Naval bases or other Federal installations and/or experience in energy-related field is acceptable.
