EnerNOC is seeking an Energy Engineer IV to design, develop, implement, and perform analysis of energy efficiency and commission projects. Specific responsibilities include:
• Conducting site visits to collect data from facilities • Conducting energy efficiency analysis of buildings and facility systems • Testing and commissioning building systems • Organizing and writing reports • Performing HVAC and cogeneration system designs • Managing multiple projects, including generating proposals and supervising other engineers • Performing proficient energy analysis using appropriate analytical tools • Writing and performing pre-functional and function performance tests • Conducting trend analysis • Writing Cx and M&V plans, as well as perform EQuest modeling • Leading and assisting with retrofit designs • Writing PFTs, FPTs, and SOOs as required • Compiling related reports and date sheets as required • Developing new analytical tools and deliver advanced technical training • Training Energy Engineers I, II, and III as necessary Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and five years of work experience in the job offered or related field of building commissioning, retro-commissioning, or advanced HVAC design knowledge; or, in the alternative, a Master’s degree or equivalent and one year of experience.
Special Requirements: A solid background in the following: HVAC systems, heating and cooling coil design, fan design, chillder design, control systems, and psychometrics. Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
