Project activities are schedules to take place in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Assist the government in evaluating energy efficiency investment conditions and conducting the energy efficiency market assessment;
Review national policy and regulatory frameworks (laws, decrees, regulations, standards, specifications, and utility demand-side management practices) and, where applicable, policy and regulatory frameworks at the provincial level;
Review energy efficiency stakeholder assessments (roles of government agencies, regulators, certification bodies, generators, transmission and distribution companies, financial institutions, consultants, designers, contractors, suppliers, and energy service companies);
Conduct a review of existing energy efficiency technologies;
Develop targeted public relations programs;
Prepare a strategy and action guidelines a national energy- efficiency program; and
Prepare a road map for implementing the national energy efficiency program, with corresponding investment plans.
