Description: Ecology Action, a California-based non-profit, is a leading provider of innovative marketing and engagement programs that overcome barriers to reducing energy use and achieving environmental sustainability.

Ecology Action (EA) is seeking a motivated, solutions oriented individual to fill the role of Energy Efficiency Specialist. This position is primarily focused in the Sacramento area, a field job, visiting customers to evaluate their energy systems, to identify appropriate upgrades and to sell the owners or managers on the benefits of the recommended measures. The Energy Efficiency Specialists will also serve as a resource to installation contractors to ensure high quality and timely installation.
Duties: • Approach and build relationships with prospective business participants
• Enroll business owner in applicable program
• Conduct comprehensive energy efficiency audits
• Gather energy end use information for customers
• Ensure accurate customer information is entered into the audit and design tools provided
• Generate and present retrofit proposals 
• Identify and complete direct installation of certain measures.
• Maintain personal inventory of direct installation equipment
• Manage change order process between customer and contractors
• Conduct post-installation quality control inspections.
• Employ a continuous program improvement process in the daily workflow
• Work to ensure high levels of Customer service and satisfaction 
• Reach and exceed sales and customer satisfaction targets
• Organize sales strategy and manage territory utilizing resources such as Program Partners, Utility Representatives, and Contractor referrals, among others
• Compile accurate and timely forecasts and sales reports
Qualifications: The Energy Efficiency Specialist must have demonstrable experience of the following:
• Customer facing sales or marketing
• Superb time management and organization
• Accuracy with reporting analysis and ability for strong attention to detail
• Ability to acquire and use technical information accurately in the field
• Ability to excel in a commissioned sales environment
• Ability to adapt work style and approach to evolving market conditions
• Computer proficiency 
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills


Desired Skills:
• Small/medium commercial energy efficiency audit or installation
• Electrical contracting, maintenance or equivalent in another field
• Language proficiency in Spanish and or Mandarin

Education/Training
• BA/BS or five years experience in a professional setting.
