Background:
The Energy Officer position provides extra capacity to the Property Asset Management team in the County Council to meet targets that are required of them by local and central government. These projects provide great learning and development opportunities for an enthusiastic individual looking to gain experience of energy management.
The successful candidate will work in a small energy and environmental management team within the Council’s Property Asset Management Division having a £1.9m energy budget and responsibility for circa 250 corporate buildings. The post will be located in Northampton.
Objective:
The Energy Efficiency Officer will work to help Northamptonshire County Council to meet its carbon reduction and energy efficiency commitments. The officer will provide a supporting role, and take on the responsibility to deliver, energy management projects including energy management systems (EMS) and energy efficiency interventions.
