Job Description
The Energy Efficiency Advisor is responsible for selling residential Home Energy Evaluations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with residential building science, and have experience with phone sales. The candidate must have a high degree of maturity, be a team player, be able to handle a high volume of leads and be willing to work long and odd hours, including weekends.
Responsibilities
• Sell Energy Efficiency Evaluations to new SolarCity residential customers, as well as SolarCity’s existing customer base and SolarCity’s lead database • Exceed set targets and work in a fast paced environment • Deal effectively with all inquiries and represent SolarCity in a professional manner
Requirements
• Have at least 1 year sales experience with a proven track record. • Previous outbound phone sales experience is preferred • Proficiency with MS Office (Salesforce.com is a plus) • Previous sales experience in a call center environment preferred • Previous knowledge of energy efficiency is a plus • Previous experience conducting and selling Energy Audits (home performance testing) is preferred • Proven track record working in a target-driven environment • Possess excellent telephone skills • Previous experience carrying a sales target • Ability to work under pressure • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Excellent customer services skills required • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background search
