This senior level position allows for continuing professional growth through expansion of a well-established Energy and Industrial Practice, providing an opportunity to build upon experienced staff and longstanding client relationships. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and dynamic senior level planner or scientist who will help build and lead a Southern California team.

 

The qualified candidate should have experience working on a range of environmental management projects for energy and industrial infrastructure, including electric transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, refineries, geothermal, and wind/solar projects. The candidate should also have a strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental and regulatory developments, including the Clean Air Act, the California Environmental Quality Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and other laws and regulations applicable to resource management.

 

We will consider individuals possessing broad-based experience with California’s energy and industrial infrastructure, permitting/entitlement, and environmental management systems. Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities, experience in marketing and business development, supervisory and mentoring skills, recognized technical and academic credentials, and strong writing and communication skills.

 

Business development responsibilities include:

* Develop and expanded client base in the energy/industrial market
* Generate new projects with existing clients
* Lead proposal efforts and interviews
* Participate in appropriate professional associations and conferences

 

The successful candidate could be based in Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, or San Diego offices.

Requirements: The qualified candidate will have 10-15 years of increasingly responsible experience in consulting and/or in a public agency. Requires at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or environmental science, resource management or other related field. A Master’s or other advanced degree is highly desirable.

 

Compensation Package: Competitive salary, 10-25% bonus (based on achievement of performance goals), 401(k), medical/health benefits, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) (annual contribution of up to 15% of salary).
