My client is seeking an Energy Consultant to be based at their head office in Letchworth but with a degree of national coverage. This company provides advice to public and private clients, developers, design teams and planners on the inclusion of practical sustainability initiatives into project and strategy delivery. Ideally the candidates will have good presentation skills, be self motivated, proactive and have a flexible attitude. It is essential that the candidate shows a willingness to participate in developing the business. You will be involved with sustainability consulting, LZC feasibility studies, energy audits and assessments, delivering sustainability workshops and development and delivery of training. The range of work will be diverse and cover the whole built environment including new build and existing stock.
Ideal candidates for this role must have the following:-
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with an energy or environmental based qualification;
- Extensive environmental management/consulting experience including the design and installation of low or zero carbon solutions in the commercial buildings sector;
- Good working knowledge of LZC is essential, along with experience of reducing energy consumption on a variety of buildings;
- A full driving licence.
Desirable Skills/Attributes:
- Knowledge of the construction industry;
- Knowledge of BREEAM and other environmental assessment methodologies;
- Good working experience of Microsoft Office applications.
