Description
The Role of the Energy & GHG Managers:
Strategy (Business Unit): Develop a Business Unit Energy & GHG Management strategy that will reduce energy & environmental footprint that are inline with both (client) corporate targets and are acceptable to key operational staff.  Annual review and amendment of this strategy to ensure compliance with local legislation requirements and corporate goals
Strategy (Site): Develop Site Energy & Environmental Management Strategy and have this approved by client site managers. Undertake periodic reviews and amend as required.
Energy Management Programme: Day to day management of the energy management programme, including activities such as continuous commissioning, daily load profile management, controls management, energy centred maintenance etc. Includes ongoing management of utility supply contracts and bill validation services
Water Management Programmes: Day to day management of water consumption including plant optimisation, mass balances, leak detection and corrective actions etc
Fugitive Emissions Management: Monitoring of inventories and releases of refrigerants and other VOC compounds & implement appropriate corrective action plans
Monitoring & Targeting:  Establish and operate appropriate routine actions and reports to meet role & account requirements
Project identification:  Identify investment opportunities that will further account goals
Project specification:  Produce outline specifications, investment appraisals in support of proposed action plans
Employee Communications:  Develop and deliver communication sessions to engage people in resource efficiency
   
The ideal Energy & GHG Managers should have/be:
Practical knowledge and experience of Energy / Legislative schemes
Good written communication skills
Technical expertise in implementing leading edge Energy/Utility reduction solutions
Relevant degree and / or industrial experience
Membership of a relevant Professional Association
Demonstrable competence in using MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint
