We are currently seeking two Energy Auditors to work out of our San Diego office. The selected candidate will work with our auditing team to provide comprehensive auditing services to identify and develop facility/energy improvement measures and opportunities. Primary duties will focus on conducting comprehensive energy audits in order to recommend significant proposed energy savings. The ultimate goal of the audits will be to provide investment grade reports with recommendations concentrating on HVAC, lighting and controls to reduce energy, water, and demand and maintenance savings. The candidate will identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, save money, and help the environment. The candidate will augment existing customer capabilities, work with both the customer and Tetra Tech in a team framework, and be an on-site action agent to facilitate energy and cost savings. 4-10 plus years of experience in energy management/engineering; strong HVAC background; experience with auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, commissioning, and building/system optimization is a plus. Previous experience working at Federal / DOD facilities is a plus. Certified Energy Manager designation is preferred. Requires knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies and metering; excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; working knowledge of personal computers and related word processing, spreadsheets; especially Excel, and database applications. BS degree in engineering or energy-related field is a plus but military or civilian experience working at Federal installations and/or experience in energy-related field is acceptable.
