As the first company certified by UNFCCC as third party validators and verifier of CDM projects and world leader in managing climate change risk, DNV assists companies, organisations and government institutions in their efforts to mitigate emissions. Our services include the Kyoto Protocol mechanisms and voluntary emission reduction efforts.
DNV is a knowledge-based company at the forefront when it comes to supporting development of new clean technologies, energy efficiency projects, and research in areas such as carbon capture and storage. We have broad greenhouse gas (GHG) verification and certification expertise combined with specific industry knowledge.
We are looking for additional capacity within our climate change team in Milan to cope with the increasing volume of corporate GHG inventory verification, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) / Joint Implementation (JI) and voluntary carbon offset projects.
Major Duties
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
executing projects within the Kyoto umbrella like GHG accounting, carbon footprint
* executing and managing CDM/JI validation and verification assignments
* executing and managing verification under voluntary schemes
* providing global support and training in the relevant specialized technical area within the DNV global Climate Change Services team
* reporting to the Mediterranean Business Unit Manager for Climate Change and Environmental Services in DNV
