Energy and Environmental Services Engineer

This position is with a growing and ambitious business operating in the exciting and rapidly changing energy and utilities sector. The business thrives on helping UK businesses and organisations get the best energy and utility deals from first connections through to efficient usage. Having won several “fast growth”
awards, the business is set on a challenging path of further expansion. At a time when energy and environmental issues are high profile and energy process highly volatile, it is expanding the energy advisory and consultancy service to multi-site clients. It wishes to appoint Energy and Environmental Services Engineers to undertake energy audits and provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) service.
Working out of the Head Office in Cardiff you will be delivering technical energy consultancy both as part of existing service packages but also as part of a new service to deliver EPC’s to property portfolios in the commercial and public sectors.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivering technical energy consultancy as part of existing service packages
- Delivering EPC’s to property portfolios within the commercial and public sector
- Gathering energy data and interpreting results
- Providing written recommendations to clients
- Helping to promote and shape our energy services offering
- Maintaining internal databases and systems
-  Any other duties as required by the Energy Services Manager
You will need a Degree or equivalent in building services, mechanical or electrical engineering (and/or ideally have, or be working towards, a commercial EPC or DEC qualification. Previous experience/understanding of design, management and monitoring of environmental building services. Previous experience of investigating energy consumption issues in a professional capacity. You must demonstrate a pro active approach to further developing skills within energy and carbon related matters and you will need excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to deal with colleagues and clients at all levels. Standard hours of work are 37.5 per week, 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
