This role is to manage the Energy and Environmental Services to a portfolio of buildings. Essentially this entails the following.
- Provide advice and direction on behalf of Head of Energy and Environment
- Assist with managing department budgeted targets.
- Work with IT, Ops and Commercial in the establishment of a E&EM System
- Support in developing energy and environmental strategies across the IS business.
- Establish matrix of Contract obligations relative to the IS business with actions and audit to meet compliance and delivery of E&EM obligations.
- Support group businesses throughout the UK&I in meeting good practice consumption targets and ‘best’ pricing inc league tables.
- Develop offerings to meet key business objectives.
- Generate marketing/publicity materials and references to establish both internal and external awareness of the division and its results/abilities.
- Input into bid/sales processes to contribute appropriate form of words, advice and costs for PPP/PFI and other B2B and B2G projects.
- Present +/or advise at client meetings and seminars to promote the business capabilities.
- Liaise with and support the UK&L CSR function
- Provide benchmarking data and support for the PPP projects
- Offer advice and guidance on energy related issues with regards to replacement M&E equipment (as and when required)
- Provide guidance and expertise on latest initiatives and advances in E&EM technology (e.g. bore holes, CHP, geothermal etc)
- Provide guidance and advice around latest Government guidance and legislation
- Produce relevant reports for the business
Applicants will need:
- An electrical / mechanical engineering or environmental degree (or equivalent) with a building and / or energy focus. Computer literate to intermediate level.
- Experience developing energy and environmental strategies across a number of business units and sites as well as energy procurement and controlling budgets.
- To be able to travel across UK and Ireland.
- To be able to communicate effectively
- To be able to reconcile strategic as well as local views
