Energy Analysts (Junior and Senior)

We have opportunities for junior and experienced wind energy and development engineers in our Bristol head office. These roles will be involved in assessing the wind resource and expected energy output of proposed and operational utility-scale wind farms in the UK, Europe and the Far East. Duties will be wide ranging and include analysing wind and other climatic data, inspecting sites and measurement equipment, performing wind flow modelling, reviewing turbine site suitability, designing wind farm layouts, conducting statistical uncertainty analyses, and writing technical reports. The successful candidate assigned to our Far East team will have the opportunity to be seconded to our Indian office in Bangalore.

Candidates must have:

• A degree in engineering, physics, atmospheric science, or mathematics;
• The ability to write clear and accurate reports in English.

For the experienced engineering roles you will need to be familiar with wind energy industry software and measurements techniques.

For both levels, fluency in languages in our principle markets is desirable.

Key attributes required include:

• Aptitude for the statistical analysis of data;
• Good communication and organisational skills to work effectively;
• Ability to work in a pressurised consultancy environment to deliver high quality work;
• Effective time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects.

Applicants should be self-motivated and enjoy taking on challenges and responsibilities. The positions will involve some site work and travel. Remuneration will depend on experience and background.
