Parity Projects is a small, award-winning company with a big challenge: to reduce the energy use of the UK's existing housing stock. We are passionate and enthusiastic about the subject. We try to take an impartial and independent approach using data and analysis based approaches to inform action. We are looking for a similarly enthusiastic junior member of staff with an interest in analytical approaches to problems to join our energy analysis team.
This energy analysis work consists of using computer modelling to provide corporate clients with options reports designed to detail where they have opportunities to save energy in their owned housing stock. Our clients are typically housing managers for Landlord organisations, and a large part of the work is typically collation of data provided by the client, and analysis of this data to provide useful information to inform their energy saving investment programmes.
The job would suit a graduate in a scientific or technical discipline with a good A-level (or equivalent) in Maths and/or Physics and around 2 years experience in a role that had involved data analysis. Good proficiency in MS Excel is essential, experience in using MS Access to manipulate data tables would be a clear advantage, knowledge of domestic energy use, experience of using VBA in MS Access or elsewhere, or experience of other programming would be an advantage.
The energy analysis team is closely integrated with the rest of the company: we operate across the supply chain offering distinct and standalone services such as eco-renovation project management, design, installer training, building monitoring.
The contract is initially temporary for 6 months, but we expect the position to become permanent and to evolve into a more senior role as the company continues to grow. We are looking to recruit as soon as possible: the closing date for applications is 20th May, but early applications are encouraged.
Apply by filling in an application form with reference to the job description and person specification and returning to info@parityprojects.com.
