Assist the Energy Analysis Center by participating in a variety of energy technology, applications, market, program, and policy analyses, with an emphasis on analysis and modeling of electricity generation systems.
With guidance from management and senior staff, contribute to analyses and modeling of electricity generation technologies in the market place. This will include exercising models of electric utility operations to investigate the impact that solar, wind and other generation technologies could have on system costs, emissions, and dispatch. Work with management and senior staff to assess a variety of energy systems, their market potential, and their impact on renewable energy. This could include electric storage options, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, solar thermal systems, and demand response.
Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant education/experience.
Limited use and application of engineering principles, theories and concepts.

Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use various computer software programs.
Bachelor's degree in economics, science, engineering, or other relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in energy-related model development and use. Good interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. Demonstrated strong computer skills including programming languages relevant to model development and spreadsheet analysis.
One year of experience in engineering, operations research, economics, environmental science, business, or other energy-related field. Several years of experience in renewable energy, energy-efficiency technologies, and related modeling and analysis. Expertise in Visual Basic, C, MatLab, GAMS, and /or other advanced programming languages. Knowledge of project financing for energy generation projects.
