| Description |
Required experience:
- Energy Projects
- Sourcing commercially viable hydro, wind, solar opportunities
- Identifying suitable project sites
- Performing technical due diligence feasibility assessments
- Managing projects from pre-feasibility stage to commissioning
- CDM Projects
- Sourcing opportunities in the renewable energy, energy efficiency or waste management sectors
- Designing and managing carbon offset projects, from contract to completion
- Strong understanding of the regulatory approval process for offset projects
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Knowledge of the energy and carbon markets in Africa
Additional (not required) experience:
- Project Financing
- Understanding of the key principles of project financing
- Ability to undertake financial modeling
- Project Management
- Construction permitting and licensing
- Project construction and installation contracting
- On-going project operations and maintenance support
- Capable of working autonomously or in a team
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Understanding of the key legal principles in project development
