POSITION:

Endangered Species Implementation Plan Manager position (Research Associate III Special) available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands, to be assigned at Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii. Position is contingent on the availability of funds.

The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands at Colorado State University is seeking a biologist experienced in application of provisions of the federal Endangered Species Act to conserve 19 listed species of plants and animals at Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on the Island of Hawaii. PTA is a 133,000-acre Army training facility located in the saddle region between the Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes. The Center provides technical assistance to the Army, which is responsible for the interpretation of federal regulatory requirements for threatened and endangered species on the installation.
