The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Manager for its End Dogfighting Atlanta program. Responsibilities of the Manager include overseeing all aspects of the EDC program in Atlanta, including community outreach and events, law enforcement training, humane education, spay/neuter, fundraising, volunteer program, community organizing and dog behavior/agility classes in areas of focus. Responsibilities also include overseeing other EDC staff and consultants in Atlanta, serving as a spokesperson for EDC Atlanta, working with other EDC cities and the Companion Animal Department to further the program in Atlanta and across the country. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and one to three years experience in community advocacy or campaigning is highly desired. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and experience in partnership-building and networking. The starting salary for this position is in the low $40’s.
