Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 social and environmental projects each year, many of which support people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment.  

The Trust has recently secured a significant number of new Employment and Skills contracts from funders including Skills funding Agency, DWP and Big Lottery and this is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to join our high performing, growing teams that will support over 2000 unemployed Londoners to gain new skills and progress into employment. 

We are seeking experienced an Employment Advisor to provide Information, Advice and Guidance to assist workless refugees into sustainable employment or training within our Elevate programme. 

We are seeking customer-focused and target-driven individuals to assist and motivate clients to overcome barriers to employment.  You will hold IAG level 3 or above and have experience in delivering a structured and accredited IAG programme.

Your responsibilities will include outreach work to encourage clients to join our provision, working with individuals on CV writing, interview skills, applications and job-search techniques, undertaking assessments, designing and monitoring individual action plans and delivering training.

A team player, you will offer excellent customer service and have the ability to organise and facilitate recruitment on behalf of employers and candidates. You will independently source and secure other employment opportunities with employers and actively broker clients into these roles.
