(http://www.remsainc.com) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and results oriented Project Coordinator for our team in New Bedford, MA.  The project is multi-faceted incorporating various sub-groups within the organization and requires a skilled user of MS Project to create tasks, ensure follow through, and track progress towards the over-arching goals of the team. Candidates should also be familiar with the fisheries’ data collection and reporting procedures and systems as required of the industry by state and federal mandates. Extensive knowledge of MS Project and previous work organizing, tracking and coordinating complex group efforts is required and this effort will be the primary focus.  Prior experience performing data quality audits and management tasks is essential as well.  We are looking for team players who can work independently with minimal supervision towards meeting team goals and objectives.  This project is slated to last approximately 1 year from start date with the possibility of extension based on project needs JOB DESCRIPTION:The candidate will serve in a project support role, onsite for our client, within a team structure.  The position is in support of fisheries management throughout the Northeastern US.  The team achieves these goals by managing and manipulating data submitted from various sources with the fisheries as well as indexing and managing the data itself and reports generated from the raw data.   The Duties in this role include, but are not limited to the following: ·               Receive and process incoming mail; open, sort, organize, and distribute to the proper parties ·               Input data into database as required                                                                          ·               Index data ·               Interface with key management personnel on project status·               Maintain records related to tasks and overall project ·               Investigate multiple datasets in response to the data requests·               Audit data to ensure accuracy and completeness·               Performing QC measures to ensure validity of product·               Archiving original documents ·               Adaptation to changing demands of the project                                          ·               Work as a solitary investigator or as part of a team·               Prepare mass mailings·               Respond to inquiries regarding the reporting requirements from constituents and staff·               Attend meetings as necessary   REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to pass a federal background screening in order to receive security clearance due to the sensitive nature of this position.Must be a U.S. citizen Education: Minimum: Associate’s Degree or certificate from an accredited program (Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree).   Relevant experience can substitute for education.                Experience: 2-3 years in a similar role coordinating projects through lifecycle from conception to completion.  2-3 years of extensive use of MS Project is requiredSkills: ·               Extensive experience performing data entry and review tasks·               Previous experience indexing data and reports·               Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously·               Ability to work independently with minimal supervision·               Familiarity with SQL is highly desirable·               Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Access & Excel ·               Experience with Oracle based platforms is highly desirable·               Time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills are imperative   ·               Ability to audit data and provide QC                 ·               Ability to meet/exceed tight deadlines                                                                                      ·               Knowledge of computer database programs is required                          ·               Proficiency and speed in data entry/typing skills are required·               Ability to learn and follow very precise protocols in order to complete job functions is a must·               Knowledge of fishing industry including equipment used and marine species is highly desirable·               Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral   ·               Attention to detail ·               Previous experience processing and compiling mass mailing ·               Ability to use office equipment is required                          ·               Archiving experience preferred·               Professional appearance and demeanor                ·               Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks based on the workload and needs of the team                                 BENEFITS: Full time position with a competitive salary based on experience.  Benefits include: health, dental, life & disability insurance, vacation and sick leave accrual, 401K, great work schedule with Federal Holidays off Application Instructions:****Incomplete application packets WILL NOT be considered****In your resume, be sure to include all relevant experience, education, and skills.
