Role Purpose

GL Garrad Hassan is the world's largest independent technical and engineering consultancy for renewable energy. We are the recognised global authority on onshore and offshore wind power and also serve the wave, tidal and solar sectors.

The main purpose of this role is to undertake analysis and modelling of the electro-mechanical dynamic behaviour of drive-trains within wind turbines and other renewable energy devices, and the development of modelling tools to undertake such analysis.

Undertaking analysis of the behaviour of electrical machines and converters with the drivetrains of wind turbines and other renewable energy devices using GH Bladed and other commercial software packages on turbine design contracts in cooperation with the Turbine Engineering Competence Centre.
