My client is a globally renowned, utility scale provider of power solutions within the renewable energy market. They have been established for over two decades and has developed an extremely successful track record in supplying tried and tested, reliable clean energy alternatives.

My client is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team in France and to work on the development and maintenance of their installed solar PV (photovoltaic) inverters whilst also allowing for the flexibility to work from a home office. This is an exciting opportunity for a power inverter engineer to join the vastly emerging Solar PV market which is projected to be the biggest market in France over the next 10 years and expand their portfolio.

CORE CRITERIA
My client is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on the maintenance of their installed fleet of inverters and to be involved in the build and integration of inverters into new solar PV projects..

Responsibilities:

• Conduct root cause analysis of client queries
• Provide assistance for scheduled developments and/or for emergency client issues
• Producing detailed electrical designs for inverter builds
• Will be implementing inverter electrical systems for large and small scale solar power plants
• Will have to co-ordinate with project managers so as to ensure all requirements are met    
• Work with high voltage electrical systems
• Travel on site to assess and conduct maintenance of installed inverter fleet
• Provide training to clients on PV inverter operation
• Efficient preparation of field service reports

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in electrical engineering technology (EET)
• Be willing to travel on site frequently
• Must speak fluent French and English
• Experience in AUTOCAD
• Solar PV experience in beneficial
• Must be approachable with strong communications skills as you will be interacting with clients daily
• Working knowledge of CE (conformité européenne) standards
• Extensive knowledge of power systems
• Knowledge of PLC programming
