Introduction

Our client is a large, multinational consultancy currently seeking an experienced EIA consultant to join their office in the West Midlands.

Important

Demonstratable EIA project management experience across a range of areas such as infrastructure, commercial, residential and energy sector developments.

The Job

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Position
Technical

?? Discipline Expertise – Comprehensive knowledge of own discipline and environmental legislation associated with area of work. Recommends best choice approach with well-defined arguments or reasons; identifies pros and cons of possible solutions.
?? Personal Development - Sets development objectives over short, medium and long term; sets challenging objectives.
?? Project Management – Manages larger and more complex projects; minimises scope creep.
?? Analytical and Report writing – Provides support to others on reporting structure in relation to client requirements.
?? Accuracy & QA/HSE – Demonstrates good attention to detail and awareness of the key business management systems. Understands and delivers to role and responsibilities within management system.

Commercial

?? Financial Systems – Provides leadership to team on business risks attached to project. Balances cost, time and quality requirements of a project.
?? Contract Management – Has intermediate knowledge of contract management and clear understanding of implications for project management.
?? Maximising Profit – Demonstrates ability to manage costs and external expenditure on projects. Understands need for client approval for additional costs.

?? Leadership – Provides leadership on project delivery and management.
?? Culture & Values – Demonstrates and supports others in line with company values.
?? Influencing Others - Encourages and supports good working relationships across the team.

Business Development

?? Delivery - Takes responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

You will have an appropriate degree (eg MSc) and have membership of a professional body such as IEMA. You will possess a grounded and practical knowledge and understanding of EIA guidelines, regulations and practices. You will be someone who can communicate effectively and build sustainable relationships with clients, staff and the public.
