We are seeking a part-time Education Officer to join our small team and help us develop and deliver our exciting education programmes. We are looking for someone with proven teaching experience, particularly with primary school age children, with the ability and passion to inspire our visitors to care for the environment.

Our education programme includes a range of activity days at our site, covering wildlife, sustainability, and history themes. We also work in partnership with a number of local organisations, including Somerset Waste Partnership who we work with on the Schools Against Waste project, and Somerset Skills and Learning, who fund many of our adult and family learning courses.

Although the position is currently a short term 6-month contract there is potential for it to be extended beyond that if it is financially viable.

We will provide full training to the successful candidate for the activities that they will be expected to deliver. This post will be subject to an Enhanced Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
