The EDO runs an Education Program to empower the community to protect the environment through law.

This includes:

  • producing plain English educational materials in a range of formats, explaining environmental law and policy;
  • conducting community workshops to enable practical participation in environmental decisions;
  • developing partnerships with other public and private organisations to facilitate access to justice; and
  • conducting seminars and conferences on key issues.

The EDO is seeking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated lawyer to assist with the Education Program generally and to deliver an education project on mining and the law which has been funded by the NSW Environmental Trust through a community education grant.

Salary is $51,903 - $64,878 depending on experience, plus superannuation.
